Purpose
This Business Continuity Overview describes My Waypoint Technologies Inc.'s general approach to maintaining service continuity and supporting clients during operational disruptions.
This is a high-level overview. It is not a detailed Business Continuity Plan. Specific internal procedures, recovery timelines, and operational configurations are maintained internally and are not published.
Business Continuity Philosophy
My Waypoint Technologies Inc. recognizes that disruptions to technology services can affect client operations. Our approach to business continuity is guided by the following principles:
- Reasonable efforts to maintain service availability
- Transparent communication when significant disruptions occur
- Prioritization of client data protection during disruptions
- Reliance on resilient cloud infrastructure where appropriate
- Continuous improvement of continuity practices over time
We do not guarantee uninterrupted service availability. No uptime commitment is published unless explicitly stated in a written client agreement.
Service Continuity Principles
My Waypoint Technologies Inc. designs and operates its services with continuity considerations in mind. Our general approach includes:
- Use of cloud infrastructure with built-in redundancy and availability features where appropriate
- Separation of client-facing services from internal operational systems where practical
- Backup practices for client-hosted content and data
- Monitoring of service availability and infrastructure health
- Defined internal escalation processes for significant service disruptions
The specific continuity capabilities available for a given client engagement depend on the services contracted and the technology platforms involved.
Operational Resilience Approach
My Waypoint Technologies Inc. leverages cloud infrastructure provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS) for hosting and application services. AWS infrastructure includes availability zone redundancy, geographic distribution, and platform-level resilience features.
The resilience characteristics of any specific client deployment depend on the architecture and services selected. Clients with specific availability requirements are encouraged to discuss those requirements with us at the time of engagement.
See our Vendor and Subprocessor Disclosure for information about our infrastructure providers.
Client Communication During Disruptions
In the event of a significant service disruption affecting client-hosted services or products, My Waypoint Technologies Inc. will make reasonable efforts to:
- Notify affected clients in a timely manner
- Provide available information about the nature and expected duration of the disruption
- Communicate restoration progress where practical
- Provide a summary of the disruption and any corrective actions taken
Communication will be provided through available contact channels. The method and timing of communication will depend on the nature and severity of the disruption.

Personnel Continuity Considerations
My Waypoint Technologies Inc. is a small organization. We recognize that personnel continuity is a relevant consideration for clients who depend on our services.
We maintain documentation of client configurations, service arrangements, and operational procedures to support continuity in the event of personnel changes. Clients are encouraged to maintain their own copies of relevant documentation, credentials, and access information.
Our commitment to client data ownership and portability supports continuity by ensuring clients retain access to their own assets. See our Client Data Ownership & Portability statement for details.
Third-Party Provider Dependencies
My Waypoint Technologies Inc. relies on third-party service providers for infrastructure, communications, and other operational functions. The continuity of our services is partially dependent on the continuity of these providers.
Our primary infrastructure provider, Amazon Web Services (AWS), maintains its own business continuity and disaster recovery programs. AWS publishes its resilience and availability commitments at aws.amazon.com/compliance/.
In the event of a significant disruption at a third-party provider, we will communicate with affected clients and work to restore services using available options.
See our Vendor and Subprocessor Disclosure for the complete list of service providers.
Data Access Considerations
My Waypoint Technologies Inc. maintains backup practices for client-hosted content and data. In the event of a disruption, we will make reasonable efforts to restore access to client data from available backups.
Clients are encouraged to maintain their own copies of important data and content. Our commitment to data portability means clients should always have access to export their own information where technically feasible.
See our Disaster Recovery Overview for information about our backup and recovery approach.
Relationship to Disaster Recovery
Business continuity and disaster recovery are related but distinct practices. Business continuity focuses on maintaining operations during a disruption. Disaster recovery focuses on restoring systems and data after a significant failure.
Our Disaster Recovery Overview describes our approach to backup, recovery, and infrastructure resilience.
Together, these practices support our commitment to protecting client data and maintaining service availability to the extent reasonably practicable.
